Dennis Publishing, an Inside Edge publisher, stated last week that they will start-up two more gambling related titles. The former chief executive of Telegraph, Jeremy Deedes, is planning an entire newspaper focused on offline and online gaming.

The name of Deedes' newspaper will be 'The Sportsman', but the paper will have little to do with sports activities, but will focus on all the different ways of making fast money with sports betting or while playing in the poker tournaments of online casinos.

Deeds believe that a whole new type of gambler is created, due to online casinos. This new gambler hardly ever leaves his or her house to go to a racecourse or a betting shop. This gambler follows the interesting sports on Sky Sports and places all bets in online casinos.

Up until a few years ago, sports' betting in the UK was mainly focused on horse and greyhound racing. Now, other sports are more interesting to gambling, such as football and basketball, where there are more options for placing bets, than just picking the winner.
